Guillemin Coupling

Classification:

Hose Coupling

Keywords:

Guillemin Coupling

Quick Overview:

Guillemin Coupling, also called French coupling, is a symmetrical quick-connect hose coupling featuring two identical halves with locking rings and lugs for secure, leak-proof fluid connections. Available in sizes 1" to 4", it’s widely used in agriculture, industry, and firefighting for water and oil transfer.

Description

Guillemin Coupling

Guillemin coupling, also known as French coupling, is a type of hose coupling used to connect hoses and pipes for the transport of fluids, such as water or oil. It is a symmetrical, quick-connect coupling that consists of two identical halves, each with a male and a female end.

The male end has external threads and a locking ring, while the female end has internal threads and two locking lugs. When the two halves are pushed together, the locking lugs on the female end engage with the locking ring on the male end, creating a secure and leak-proof connection.

Sizes: 1", 1-1 / 2", 2", 2-1 / 2”, 3", 4”

Applications:

Guillemin couplings are commonly used in the agricultural, industrial, and firefighting sectors due to their ease of use, reliability, and compatibility with a wide range of hoses and pipes. They are also known for their resistance to corrosion and high temperatures. However, they are not suitable for use with gases or hazardous materials, as they do not provide a completely air-tight seal.
