Using Vinyl Tubing to DIY Your Bracelets

To create Glitter Bracelets, gather the following materials:

Clear Vinyl Tubing – 3/8″ Diameter and 1/4″ Diameter (both with an outer diameter of 1/4″ and 3/8″, and an inner diameter of 1/4″)

Hot Glue Gun and hot glue sticks

Glitter – multi-colored

Scissors – Fiskars recommended

Small Funnel – specifically for glitter

Washi Tape, assorted

Instructions:

STEP ONE: Cut Tubing Start by cutting the smaller tubing to a length of approximately 10″ using a sturdy pair of scissors.

STEP TWO: Seal One End Seal one end of the tubing with hot glue. Wet your index finger and tap the hot glue lightly to ensure a sealed and flush end.

STEP THREE: Add Glitter After the glue is dry, add glitter into the tube using a small funnel. Begin with clear or iridescent white glitter to neutralize static. Create designs, such as a rainbow pattern or metallics for an upscale look.

STEP FOUR: Trim and Seal Fill the tube completely and trim any excess tubing with scissors. Seal the open end with additional hot glue. Wet your index finger and tap the hot glue to ensure a complete seal.

STEP FIVE: Connector Piece Cut a piece of the larger tubing (about 1/2″ long) with heavy-duty scissors. Use it as a connector between the two ends to create a bangle-style bracelet.

STEP SIX: Embellish with Washi Tape Use washi tape to embellish the bracelets, paying attention to the connector piece to hide the hot glue ends.
