PVC braided hoses have rated working pressure and burst pressure, and if the actual operating pressure exceeds the hose's rated value, the hose wall and braid may not withstand it, leading to expansion or even bursting. Inferior PVC materials may lack sufficient strength to withstand higher pressures. If there are holes in the braid or insufficient weaving density, pressure will concentrate at weak points. Uneven wall thickness can make the thinner areas more vulnerable to pressure damage.

 

 

So, how can we avoid these issues in practical use? The key to ensuring stable performance of PVC braided hoses lies in selecting the right product and conducting proper maintenance. During the selection process, it's important to compare hose parameters and ensure that the rated pressure is higher than the maximum working pressure in use. For scenarios involving high temperatures or the transport of corrosive liquids, choose specially modified PVC hoses or hoses made from stronger materials. During installation, choose fittings that match the hose diameter and material, and ensure a tight, leak-free connection. After use, store hoses in a cool, dry environment. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, and do not store hoses under pressure or in a bent position to prevent permanent deformation. Regularly inspect hoses for signs of aging, cracks, or swelling, and replace them promptly when issues are found.

 

 

For manufacturers, adding UV stabilizers to PVC materials can slow down aging, extend hose lifespan, and improve UV resistance. Optimizing the weaving process and using uniformly high-density fiber braiding can also improve the overall pressure resistance.
